ASHP House of Delegates

The House of Delegates is the major policymaking body of ASHP. The 78th Annual Session of the ASHP House of Delegates will convene in St. Louis, MO, during the Pharmacy Futures 2026 Meeting. Meetings of the House of Delegates are scheduled so that all attendees may observe the House in action. The Open Forum on Saturday is an opportunity for all attendees to share their views about ASHP activities or other matters of professional concern with ASHP officers, Board members, and delegates.

Delegate Primer on HOD Processes (for all delegates and alternate delegates)

  • Saturday, June 13, 2:30 p.m. – 3:30 p.m.
    Open to new and current delegates, this session is designed to review and familiarize members of the House of Delegates with parliamentary procedures used during the meetings.

Open Forum for Members

  • Saturday, June 13, 3:30 p.m. – 5:30 p.m.
    The Open Forum is an excellent opportunity for members attending the Pharmacy Futures 2026 Meeting to bring emerging issues to the attention of ASHP leaders. This session is the "Open Hearing of the House of Delegates" outlined in the ASHP bylaws. Items scheduled for action by the House may be discussed as well as any matter of concern to ASHP members related to pharmacy practice. Discussion will be facilitated by the Chair of the House of Delegates, and the session will be attended by ASHP officers, members of the Board of Directors, and ASHP staff.

Meet the Candidates - Candidates for ASHP Offices to Go on the Record

  • Monday, June 15, 12:15 p.m. – 1:45 p.m.
    Hear what each nominee for ASHP President and Board of Directors has to offer the membership at the “Meet the Candidates” session starting at 12:15 p.m. Afterward, the candidates will answer members’ questions until 1:45 p.m.

    Election of the 2027-28 ASHP President and 2027-30 members of the Board of Directors will occur during the annual balloting in June. An audio recording of the "Meet the Candidates" session will be available from the ASHP website in time for the annual balloting.
